About our Project

Meet Juniper, the sweetest, sunshine-hearted Golden Retriever who joined our family at five years old. She was the queen of walks, an avid bird watcher, and a professional napper. She absolutely adored people, pats, and treats (maybe a little too much in her past life!).

When Juniper came to us, she began a big weight-loss journey, and absolutely smashed it with the help of her energetic sister and best friend, Harriet the English Springer Spaniel. She finally got to a place where she could run, play, and enjoy life to the fullest.

But after a fun-filled weekend at the beach, everything changed. Juniper suddenly was struggling to use her back legs, and we discovered she had ruptured both cruciate ligaments. The damage had already been done from years of being overweight with very little exercise. She needed double knee surgery, fast, to relieve her pain and stop further damage.

To us, our dogs are family. We were determined to get Juniper the care she needed, even if it meant taking out a loan to make it happen. That’s how The Paw Project was born. We started creating and selling handmade pieces to help cover Juniper’s surgery and recovery. Every item was crafted with love, and every purchase helped us give Juniper the happiest, fullest life we could.

Although Juniper is no longer with us, her light and her legacy continue to guide everything we do. Our dream is to one day use The Paw Project to support other families facing the same kind of unexpected heartbreak with their beloved pets.

For now, your support means more than we can put into words. Thank you for being part of Juniper’s story, and ours.
